Christmas Picture Photo Shoot

These are some of the pictures that we had taken for our Christmas card this year. We could only fit three on our card, but there were many more that we loved. We are thankful for Tyler's co-worker Carol Looney who took these for us.

The day has finally come...we get to move in!! We'll either close tomorrow or on Monday of next week which means we'll definitely get to spend Christmas in our new house. We're so excited!! These are a few pictures of the finished product:

Language Arts Work

Bo's interest in reading, drawing and writing has really increased lately. Here's a bit of his work:

His message and signature on his birthday card for Tyler: (It's too bad Tyler doesn't drink or this card would have been even more relevant for the occasion. :)

A lot of his drawings look like this. He likes to draw houses, and we are thinking that it is because he is anticipating our move into the new house.

He has enjoyed having an Elf on the Shelf who writes him letters that he can read every morning. Here he is reading one of the letters from Alf the Elf.

He also worked on writing a letter to Santa. I didn't explain much about him writing Santa a letter, but when I told Bo he should start working on his letter to Santa, Bo said, "Okay. How about g?" and he wrote the lowercase letter g in the middle of his paper. After a grammar mini-lesson, Bo worked on his letter. I didn't give him any hints about spelling, grammar ex.
but he still did a good job!

It says: "Dear Santa. Please bring me Lincoln Logs." Love, Bo

Park Playtime

Molly's first experience on the swings!

Better late than never...

Bo was Mario for Halloween and Molly was a ladybug. Of course Molly was in bed about the time that Bo and I set out to trick-or-treat, but Bo had a great time trick-or-treating with some of the big kids from church. He wanted to go up to the houses on his own with the older kids which made the experience bittersweet for me. He's growing up too fast!! Some of the kids told me that Bo had the opportunity to get more than one treat at the houses but he would usually only take one. Skittles were his favorite things to get. He also learned the words to Ozzy Osborne's Crazy Train so he's been singing that ever since.

Bo with our jack-o-lantern. Bo named him Jaden.
