Miss Molly

Here are some sweet pictures of Molly from July 2013.  She has not used a pacifier since she was three months old, but if she's in an extra snuggly mood, she will suck on her blanket which is a precious reminder that she's still our baby girl.

Molly is also a huge fan of the rain and any accessories that come with.  If there is a puddle in sight, she wants to go out and play in the rain!

What a zoo!

The kids loved spending time both at the Atlanta Zoo and our local zoo this summer.  In a way, I think they appreciated our smaller, local zoo even more because 1.) it does not involve miles of walking and 2.) they could go every week so they really got to learn a lot about the animals.  Here's Bo reading books to a pheasant at our local zoo and some other pictures from our summer zoo trips.   (June/July 2013)

The Academy

Shopping at the Academy has become a favorite place for the kids to go.  Just give them some time to try on the baseball helmets and swing some bats and they are happy for the rest of the day! (June 2013)

Dear Santa...

June 2013
Is June too early to start working on a Christmas list?  According to Bo, it's not.

Classic Bo

Can you tell that Bo suffers very little from any self-esteem problems? :)  He's very proud of his muscles these days! (June 2013)

The End of Pre-K :(

May 2013
After almost four years at Miss Evelyn's daycare/preschool, Bo is finally old enough (and mature enough) for Kindergarten.  It's exciting in many ways, but sad in others.  Miss Evelyn has been such a blessing for us and for Bo.  He loves being there, he feels loved and she accepts him for all of the little quirks that make him unique.  I know we made the right decision keeping him there for an extra year rather than sending him to Kindergarten when he turned 5.  Fortunately, we still have a few more year with Miss Evelyn since Molly is there now too.
Bo made this special scrapbook page for Miss Evelyn as a part of her end-of-the-year-gift from the kids.

Molly in May

(May 2013)
Molly is such a little ray of sunshine in our day!  Here are some sweet pictures of her from this month.

As always, she finds the accessories to make any outfit unforgettable:

Her pink toenails have become a signature trademark too!

Pete the Cat has become her new best friend.  She loves reading all of his books at bed time and listening to the songs on CD in the car too.

She a smart cookie!  She's learned most of the ABC song and can identify the letters too!

Spring Baseball

Bo has enjoyed Spring baseball this year as a Rockie!  He really seems to be learning the rules of the game, and Tyler has been a great coach for his team.

Happy Birthday Molly!

Little Miss Molly celebrated her 2nd birthday with a party at home with our close friends and family.  Everyone had cupcakes, but with her love of donuts, we had to get her a very special birthday donut for her "cake."  Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Lucky Bo also got a present from his Nana to celebrate Molly's birthday---new bunk beds!  He's all ready for sleepovers now!

Dunkin Donuts

Every Saturday morning while I am at the gym, Tyler, Bo and Molly have the weekend tradition of going to Dunkin Donuts.  They absolutely love it, and Molly thinks that "dos" are the best things ever!  On this particular Saturday, Tyler brought the donuts home to them.  Yummy!

Molly's Well-Visit: 2 1/2 Years!

Measuring in at 27.8 pounds (50-75%) and 35 inches tall (75-90%), Molly is doing great!  Her speech is below average, but she's picking up new words every day, and hopefully we'll be hearing some phrases and sentences before we know it!  Other than that, she's healthy as can be! Here she is with a celebration donut for a great check-up!

Who loves you?

In about three weeks (this was recorded on April 14, 2013), Molly not only learned how to say the word "mama" but also one of the most important things that she will ever need to know about her mama.

ER Visit

April 14th, 2013 was not exactly our typical church day.  One minute, we were shaking hands to greet everyone and the next minute we were in the ER.  In the blink of an eye, the child who we never worry much about in terms of safety issues found a small blue candy-like pill on the floor and started to eat it.  He immediately realized that it was not an m & m and started to spit it out.  A few minutes later, one of the ministers at our church told us that someone had reported dropping a morphine pill and asked if we had seen it....You can probably guess what happened then.  We weren't completely filled with panic but we did rush to get Bo to the ER, and, after him being closely monitored for about 4 hours, we were able to bring him home.  Lesson learned...I hope.

Spring Break 2013

Here are some pictures from our traditional Spring Break trip to Destin with Nana.  My sister and her family joined us this year.  Molly wasn't too sure about the beach until we got her some beach shoes (and her accessories, of course!).  Bo couldn't stay away from the sand and waves.  He also loved his evening beach trips with Nana to play some football and build sandcastles.
